Much Ado About Nothing

Shakespeare’s sharpest battle of wits

Fast, funny, and packed with captivating characters, Much Ado About Nothing is two love stories, plus deceit, plus verbal sparring.

At its centre are Benedick and Beatrice who swear they are not interested in love, let alone with each other. (Yet of course it’s a romcom really…so guess where it ends!)

The plot and plotting also revolve around young couple, Hero and Claudio. They are smitten and due to marry, but someone has other ideas.

Our 2026 production brings all this to life with pace and clarity. The play mixes wit, romance, and deception. It’s fun, it’s fast, and it’s on stage this August. (Tickets will be on sale in late Spring).

Don’t miss it! Here’s what local style guide, Muddy Stilettos, said about our previous productions:

I book almost everything this company puts on – their productions are lively, funny and far from dusty am-dram. It’s like watching Love Island in the 14th or 15th century! If you’re even slightly curious about seeing Shakespeare, I’d recommend this company as the productions are on a whole different level
